Verdict
Our Verdict on Roosevelt University's MBA
This is the Roosevelt option if you want a general management degree with a fraud specialty built in. Your 33-credit Master of Business Administration (MBA) is accredited by ACBSP and includes a three-course Accounting Forensics concentration, and you can earn it online, in a hybrid format, or in Chicago and Schaumburg.
Roosevelt University is a private nonprofit university in Chicago, Illinois, and this concentration sits inside the Custom-Built MBA at its Heller College of Business. The idea is that you graduate with broad leadership skills and a focused specialization that reflects what you want to do next.
Your degree is 33 credit hours: seven core courses, three courses in your concentration and one elective. Roosevelt also offers a stand-alone Master of Science in Accounting Forensics. In that 30-credit degree, you'll take all five forensic courses. The MBA concentration blends three of them with a management core.

Curriculum
What You Will Study
Your seven core courses build the general business foundation. The concentration then adds nine credit hours, and you'll choose three courses from Fraud Examination, Financial Statements and Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering, Computer Forensics & Auditing, Topics in Business Forensics, and Professional Accounting Internship.
That menu lets you tailor the specialty. Fraud Examination is the place to start if you want the fraud basics, including embezzlement, asset misappropriation and corruption. In Financial Statements and Fraud, you'll go through real corporations where statement fraud turned up.
In Anti-Money Laundering, you'll follow the laws and agencies built to stop it. Computer Forensics & Auditing works through actual computer fraud cases, and in Topics in Business Forensics you'll meet Benford's law and the tests behind corporate fraud work.
The internship option is a supervised professional learning experience at a business or nonprofit site. The overall learning style leans practical, with case studies, real-world projects and internship experiences across the MBA. You'll round out the 33 credit hours with one elective.
